Celebrate National Honey Month and Lithopolis Honeyfest Day in Ohio in a robust atmosphere of art, music, food, fun and people! The Lithopolis Honeyfest is a non-profit event with a mission to educate visitors about the art and science of apiculture and to raise awareness of the importance of the honey bee.  With the involvement of honey and beekeeping trade associations, we see this event as a component in preserving apiculture, not just in Ohio, but nationwide and globally.

Enjoy a fascinating day of unique attractions - honey bee beards and wigs; honey of all flavors, colors and textures; honey extracting and bee hive inspecting.  Meet beekeepers, explore equipment and discover products direct from the hive.  See a real queen bee and her colony up close under the glass of an observation hive.

Listen to great live music, browse quality arts & crafts, and spend family fun time at the The Gilmore Group's Busy Beehive Booth. Buzz over to the "Honey Bees Make Good Food" court for scrumptious honey-made food and be sure to sample mead at the wine tasting tent.  Grab a honey brew at the Bloom-Carroll Kiwanis beer garden and treat yourself to an entry in the Honey Bake-Off sale.  Before flying off, take home a memory with a sweet souvenir shirt, fit for a queen Taste of Honey cookbook and stingingly elegant collector mead/wine glass.
